Who We Are
A regional healthcare consortium dedicated to improving access to affordable and reliable telecommunications services for rural healthcare providers.The New England Telehealth Consortium (NETC) supports over 1,365 healthcare sites across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Since 2007, NETC has helped rural healthcare providers secure essential subsidies through the Healthcare Connect Fund (HCF) program, reducing network costs and improving access to telehealth, electronic health records, and critical information exchange. To date, NETC has secured over $185 million in funding, including more than $36 million last year alone, ensuring that healthcare facilities can grow and maintain reliable telecommunications infrastructure. Beyond funding support, NETC offers comprehensive network management and monitoring services, including 24/7 oversight, cloud integration, and expert technical support. Our goal is to empower healthcare providers with affordable, high-performance networks to deliver uninterrupted care and foster collaboration across communities.

Pushing the boundaries of tech in healthcare
""A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings." - HippocratesIn 2006 the FCC announced funding for what would be called the Rural Health Care Pilot Program (RHCPP). This program was designed to create a nationwide broadband network of healthcare sites, subsidized at up to 85%. Over 500 healthcare sites throughout Northern New England came together in order to apply for the RHCPP. This signified the foundation of the New England Telehealth Consortium (NETC).
In late 2007, NETC received its requested funding amount of approximately $24.6 million, representing the largest award of this type in the country. This funding is being used to build a sustainable broadband healthcare network, including Internet2 access, to greatly improve the capability and efficiency of healthcare in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.Our Work Services
