Board Member Spotlights: January 2026

We are excited to introduce some of the newest members of the NETC Board of Directors. These board members bring valuable experience, perspective, and leadership that will support NETC’s mission and help guide our work in the year ahead. Join us in giving them a warm welcome!

Peter Merrill
Director for Information Systems Business Management and Telecommunications
Dartmouth Health

Peter Merrill is the Director for Information Systems Business Management and Telecommunications at Dartmouth Health, a nonprofit academic health system that serves a patient population of 1.9 million in Northern New England. Anchored by the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, the system provides access to more than 1,000 primary care and specialty providers in almost every area of medicine. Mr. Merrill’s responsibilities vary widely and include oversight of the system’s centralized telecommunications program. Prior to coming to Dartmouth Health, he was a Visiting Professional Fellow at the Renewable Aviation Fuels Development Center at Baylor University in Waco, Texas and the Associate Director at the American Biofuels Association in Washington, DC. Mr. Merrill received his J.D. from the Law School of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and his B.A. with Departmental Honors from Johns Hopkins University.

Neil Reda
Director of Infrastructure for IT
MaineGeneral Health

Neil Reda is the Director of Infrastructure for IT at MaineGeneral Health, where he oversees the Network, Telecom, and Systems Engineering teams. Neil served as the Director of MaineGeneral’s Project Management Office prior to moving into Infrastructure and carries Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Before moving into healthcare, he worked at Davidson College in North Carolina as a Project & Relationship manager focusing on AV systems and academic technology.

Prior to his days working in IT, Neil was a theatre technician, working primarily in academia as a technical director and production manager as well as designing lights, sound, and projections. In his spare time, he enjoys going to concerts, riding his motorcycle, and rock climbing.

Thanh Tran
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
MaineHealth

Thanh Tran serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at MaineHealth, a leading not-for-profit integrated health system serving 1.1 million residents across Maine and New Hampshire. With nearly three decades of experience in IT, cybersecurity, and clinical engineering, Thanh leads technology modernization and infrastructure services, aligning IT transformation, and innovation with organizational strategy.  Previously, CTO at South Shore Health, Thanh also brings consulting expertise from Ernst & Young and Cornerstone Advisors. He holds a BS in MIS & Accounting from Babson College, is a CISSP®, and actively participates as CHIME & HIMSS member and AWS Healthcare Strategic Customer Advisory Council. Outside of work, Thanh enjoys alpine skiing, boating, and shell fishing with family and friends.

Terry Williams
Director of Information Technology
Redington-Fairview General Hospital

Terry Williams is an IT professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. His career has spanned a wide variety of technology and leadership roles, from network engineer, project manager, server administrator, phone system technician, cabling and fiber optics expert, project lead and site foreman, team lead and field supervisor, and he is the current Director of Information Technology at Redington-Fairview General Hospital.

In his spare time, Terry is a community organizer working with the youth of his community. Terry has been a positive influence on young people, coaching football, basketball, and baseball for children ages 4 through 14; and has also organized a youth travel basketball program for the Pittsfield school district, for teams ranging from third grade to eighth, developing a feeder program for MCI high school athletes. Terry also enjoys playing music, having played the guitar and drums since he was 12 years old.

Terry has a wife, Sonja, and 3 children; Cheyenne, Dylan, and Lennon.
