Question: Can you please provide the carriers and line speeds for the services they use currently? We can then provide resilient options for more fault-tolerance.
Response: We are unable to provide the current carrier name however the interface speeds and CIRs are listed below
Private Network
- Nashua - Interface: 1 Gbps, CIR: 1.5 Mbps
- Newmarket - Interface: 1 Gbps, CIR: 20 Mbps
- Raymond - Interface: 1 Gbps, CIR: 20 Mbps
Internet
- All Sites - Interface: 1 Gbps, CIR: 20 Mbps
Question: Do they have an IP-PBX at each site? Would Lamprey consider SIP connectivity to the PSTN versus PRI?
Response: Lamprey does have a IP-PBX at each site. USAC requires that RFPs be Vendor / Technology neutral, please review section 15.6 in the RFP for more info on scoring critera.
Question: Would HIPAA-compliant encrypted tunnels over multiple public internet paths be an acceptable alternative to CES/MPLS/VPLS to lower costs?

Question: Why is the connection to Nashua only 1.5m, when the other two sites are 20m?
Response: Lamprey has an additional 20 Mbps circuit between Newmarket and Nashua that is not within the scope of this RFP.
